About
Elizabeth Thacker Jones is the founder of the Food Book Fair. At age 19, she landed her first cooking job at experimental performance space The Kitchen where she cooked for visionaries including Meredith Monk. She still cherishes the moment when Philip Glass told her she made the best lentils he’d ever eaten.
Since then, Elizabeth has worked for architect David Rockwell, led bike tours through Sonoma’s wine country and farmed sturgeon in California and Idaho with the James Beard Award-winning Tsar Nicoulai Caviar.
In 2011, Elizabeth curated the Union Square Pavilion with Greenmarket /GrowNYC and performed as a yogurt-innoculating nurse in Jennifer Rubell’s “Incubation” at Art Basel in Miami. She is currently producing the Food Book Fair, the world’s first event aimed at bringing together food publications from around the globe which will take place in NYC in May of 2012.
